Too serious
no longer, we
                have learned to love
                our restlessness
whose tussles left
us short of breath.
                We wrestled with
                the reckless flesh
that both of us
would test and test
                then half refresh
                and half forget
to use what’s left
in each of us:
                vitality
                we live to spend—
to roll, unroll
& revel in
                our toothed excess
                of wildness—
